Editor Basics - Environments
In this guide, we will cover the basics of working with Environments in your stories.
To get started, let’s open an existing project or create a new one using the Dashboard. Feel free to reference our Dashboard guide if you need a quick refresher.
In the screenshot above, we have a very basic story. Notice in the Chapter Assets panel there is a Camera, an Environment, and a Character (Ben).
Let’s select gear icon next to the Environment asset from the Chapter Assets panel.
This will open the Edit Environment modal and allow you to browse and select a new environment for your story. You can also rename your Environment.
Go ahead and select a new environment and click Confirm.
For this story, we have selected the Retail environment. Notice that our Character, Ben, is in the same position he was before the environment changed. You can think of Environments as backgrounds or settings for your stories.
In our next guide, we will dig deeper into Character and how to use them effectively to tell your story.
